Review: MAC ME OVER Eyeshadows

Hey Everyone!  Lets go through my review of the eye shadows from the MAC Me Over Collection.  I bought 3 shades:  Creamy bisque (dirty ivory with pearl), Mythical (frosty coppery red) and Carbonized (frosty dark brown).
The texture of the Creamy bisque shade is very pigmented and smooth.  It isn't glittery, however it has a pleasant pearlesque sheen to it.  I also like the finish of the unique shade of brown seen in Carbonized.  Even though it is a shade of brown,  this particular shade in quite uncommon as well as versatile.  Carbonized has a certain depth element to it and with it also being veluxe pearl, I simply love it!  As for Mythical, I simply wasn't satisfied with the texture even though it has a vp finish.  It was not as deeply pigmented as I would have liked it to be, and it did not give ample colour payoff.  In my opinion, there are many colours within the same colour family that can give a better effect.  It just didn't seem like there was anything really special about Mythical to me.  I am interested in trying out the other 2 shadows in this collection, Outre and Moleskin...they seem like they would be great for the crease.  If you have either of those, what do you think?
If you want to get any of these eye shadows they can be found on maccosmetics.com

Take: Creamy bisque and Carbonized

Leave: Mythical

Storage & Organization: Pigments

Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to show you my updated storage for my pigments. I needed a way to store them so that they wouldn't take up too much space. Most of these pigments were purchased from TKB Trading. You can by rather large samples as well as old mac style pigment jars for pretty cheap. They have an amazing selection of colors as you can see.

Makeup Brush Organization

Hello there!
I recently was looking for some additional organization for my makeup brushes. Despite their depiction, I do not store my makeup brushes outside in the backyard. ;P
I asked my husband to take a couple of pics of my new toy and he decided to make it an outdoor shoot. I luv him :)
I had originally seen this pampered chef tool turnabout on XSparkage's channel on youtube.com. It seemed pretty practical and better equipped to store my brushes. I am a brush collector. Correction. I am a makeup brush hoarder. This isn't even a quarter of the brushes that I tried to store in glass jars on my vanity. You can imagine how many glass jars crowded my counter top!
This tool turnabout is very useful. It has dividers and it's most important feature is that it turns! I found this baby on ebay, since I wasn't too familiar with pampered chef and I really didn't know any friends who sold this brand. There were many listings for this item, either in white or black, on ebay.
Hope you found this helpful! I'll be bringing you more organization ideas soon :)

Review: Pro Rolling Train Case

So, I finally received it!  It's beautiful!  It was carefully sent in an upright box, protected by Styrofoam and wrapped tightly.  Take a look!
Just FYI, I ordered this Pro rolling Makeup case from ebay.  I had initially seen it on Yazmo, and I fell in love!  After some research, I found the exact same case on Ebay and it was even being sold by yazmo.  And as an extra plus, it was $30 cheaper on Ebay.
It is a pretty tall case.  What do I plan to do with it, you ask??  Well, I've been trying to get into makeup artistry again.  I went through a phase a couple of years ago before I got married but I was very overwhelmed at the time.  Even though I have a full time career, I think this is something that I can do on the side.  To keep my sanity....
The top train case can be detached and the bottom part also has several compartments.  Included inside the case was an extra top for the bottom portion.  In case I want to separate the two parts.
It's very roomy inside and I believe the compartment on the bottom is tall enough to fit some full size palettes.
Here it is, all nice an packed with my kit.  I'm still lacking a foundation and concealer palette, but I'm pretty much done filling it with all my necessities.

Overall, I'm pretty happy.  One of the major cons is obviously the size.  It's huge!  I'm sure that once it's filled it's going to be pretty heavy.  Especially if I need to climb some stairs.  But I think it's worth it!

Let me know what you think!!

Keeping up with the Kardashians---Makeup Organizer!

Good Evening Everyone!!
So I'm watching re-runs of Keeping us with the Kardashians and I spot this amazing clear organizer on Kourtney's bathroom counter.  Ooooooh!  It's beautiful and full of makeup that's organized and right up my alley.  I headed to the web and started the search.  It was quite difficult, but I found it on theclearcube.com!  Take a look!

Here is a pic of a similar acrylic box and here's a clip from the show where you can see it on her counter.  It's amazing!  Isn't it?  What do you think?  Would you buy one?

Nite Nite!
