Laura Mercier Rose Rendezvous Face Illuminator

Hey Everyone!  I was shopping on Sephora.com for the F and F 20% off sale, and I remember seeing this highlighter in my local Sephora and thinking that I needed to have it!  This limited edition highlighter has been getting a ton of buzz lately, and rightfully so.  It is the prettiest shade of rose gold that I have seen in a while, extremely buttery soft and glides on with ease.  With just one swipe, you pick up an ample amount of colour that melts right into your skin.  This product appears to be buildable, depending on the effect you are going for.  It does not have an over spray, and seems like it will have the same colour consistency all the way through to the pan.  When I tested out the product it seemed to be fairly long lasting and did not oxidize into any strange colour on my skin.  This illuminator can be used a number of ways:  As a face highlighter, an all over highlighter, an eyeshadow and a lip product if mixed with gloss.  This holiday season shimmer, gold and glitter are in!  Not just for clothing but also in the makeup world.  That makes this product a perfect choice for me. At 0.2 oz for $42 on sephora.com it seems a little pricey, but in my opinion definitely worth it!  Below are some more pics of the product and a swatch (click to enlarge).

Will you pick it up?

Dior Backstage Eyeliners-To-Wear Multi-Wear Adhesive Eyeliner Patches and Backstage Brow Design Brow Shaping Stencils Kit

Hi Everyone!  So I was strolling through my local Sephora, when I spotted these babies!  I was really excited and intrigued to see that Dior came out with eyeliner patches.  They are known for their amazing eyeliner in ads and now they've made it so that the regular woman can have perfect fool proof eyeliner as well.  I was able to test a pair out this past weekend at a wedding...and they looked fabulous!  I got so many compliments on how my eyeliner looked flawless and no one was aware that they were stuck on.  The great thing about these are that they are reusable.  However, in order to increase the longevity of these I would recommend putting them on before you put your eyeshadow on.  That way the adhesive on the back of the eyeliner patch lasts longer and doesn't loose it's "stickiness" as quickly.  And when you do loose it's adhesiveness, they have included a small tube of glue.  I am looking forward to trying the other 3 patches, as I've only been able to use one pair.  But I am pretty confident that I will love them all!  As for the eyebrow stencils, I have not been able to fully test them out.  I am planning on giving them a whirl this weekend.  Once I try them out I will be able to give y'all a better opinion on if they are worth the cost.  You can purchase them at sephora.com.  And below are some detailed specs on the products and more pics.

Dior Backstage Eyeliners-To-Wear Multi-Wear Adhesive Eyeliner Patches $59
- 4 pairs of eyeliner patches
-small glue tube

Dior Backstage Brow Design Brow Shaping Stencils Kit $40
-6 brow stencils
-2 mini eyeliner pencils (light and dark brown)

What do you think about these new products from Dior...are they a hit or miss?

Review + Lip Swatches: Bare Escentuals Pretty Amazing Lipcolor

Hey Everyone!  Hope your wk is off to a great start!  I visited my local Sephora this past wkend and found these Bare Escentuals lip colors which I found to be interesting.  They are in lip gloss packaging but have the coverage of a lipstick.  The 2 colours I picked up were: Charisma (coral pink) & Ambition (hot pink/fuchsia).  Below I have swatches of both colours on my hand as well as on the lip, to give you a better idea of the colour and coverage.
You can find these on sephora.com, along with 10 additional shades.

Pros:
* Sleek packaging
* Coverage of a full coverage lipstick (ie MAC's amplified finish)
* Many colour options
* Hydrates and repairs, while it also plumps and firms lips simultaneously

Cons:
* Cost $16

So what do you think?  Would you pick these up?

Sephora & Hautelook Haul: Korres

One of my first purchases from Korres was their lip butter in mango. It has an amazing consistency, is very moisturizing, and with a slight touch of color. It can also double as a cheek tint, how cool is that? On my next visit to Sephora I decided to pick up another lip butter glaze in jasmine, but this time in a tube. I actually like that one better. It's easier to use, especially since I'm a bit of a germ freak.

Then one day on Hautelook, I saw that Korres had this cute little set. Since I had such luck with my first two lip butters, I decided to pick it up. I also picked up the lip scrub in a tube.
The cute bag canvas bag came filled with some great goodies! There was this beautiful white eyeshadow that would be good for a brow highlight. A lovely nude lipstick, a mascara, a lip gloss, as well as a eyeliner. I actually haven't had a chance to use these items, but I'm looking forward to it.
As for the lip scrub, I have used it and it actually disappointed me. I'll talk about that in another review. My lips are crazy dry and I was hoping that this product would help this annoying problem.
One of the things that I like about this brand is that their products are natural and good for you. I don't feel guilty using their lip butter, since they are petroleum free. On top of that, they smell soooo good!
Besides the lip scrub, I have been very happy with my Korres products. One of the things I want to try in the future is their skincare. I've heard from various gurus that it's pretty good. Have any things from Korres that you love?
