Christmas Ideas under $25

Long time no see!  I've been away for so long and I hope you didn't forget about us!  Today's post is just a quick Christmas list that I've put together.  I'm involved in several Secret Santa parties and everyone has been asking, "What do you want ?" .  Well, this was easy-peasy for me!  I've been eyeing a couple of items, and they are all pretty inexpensive.   Yay!

1.  Travalo Atomizer

I have heard so much about Travalo from several different beauty gurus.  I really haven't seen these anywhere around me, but they are availible from their site.  There are several different styles, some are fancier than others.  I think this is a great gift for anyone.  I've been working out so much lately and sometimes I forget to pack my giant bottle of body spray or my perfume.  This is an excellent way to always keep a little body spray or your favorite perfume in your purse!

2.  Custom Brush Roll from asoftblackstar on!

Image taken from asoftblackstar on
I personally have ordered from this Etsy seller before.  I love her items! I have actually already ordered a slew of brush rolls from my friends.  Best part is, they are not rough on my wallet!  And for the price you get a great quality brush roll, handmade with high quality materials.  I'll make a post when I receive the rolls I ordered so I can show you what I'm talkin' about!

3.  Moroccan Oil

You think this is a strange gift?  Not if the gift of heathy hair is strange!!  I personally would LOVE this gift (hope my husband or girlfriends are reading this...).  The only place I can find Moroccan Oil is on the internet and I have heard so much about it, I'm DYING to try it.  So maybe the larger size doesn't fit in the below $25 category, but this mini size would make a great stocking stuffer :)

4.  Lip Balm Lovers Lip Balm Pack from Sakura Bath & Body

Oh, lip balm!  How I love thee...let me count the ways!  I can't get enough of lip balm.  I have TONZ of lip balm and this is the just one the cutest gift sets around!  And they will be mine soon, they are on their way to my home as we speak.  Great stocking stuffer or just a little gift to show someone you care about their lips :)

So, aren't these good ideas!  I'm forwarding this post to my family immediately :)  Do you have any good inexpensive Christmas ideas?  PLEASE share!!

Laura Mercier Rose Rendezvous Face Illuminator

Hey Everyone!  I was shopping on for the F and F 20% off sale, and I remember seeing this highlighter in my local Sephora and thinking that I needed to have it!  This limited edition highlighter has been getting a ton of buzz lately, and rightfully so.  It is the prettiest shade of rose gold that I have seen in a while, extremely buttery soft and glides on with ease.  With just one swipe, you pick up an ample amount of colour that melts right into your skin.  This product appears to be buildable, depending on the effect you are going for.  It does not have an over spray, and seems like it will have the same colour consistency all the way through to the pan.  When I tested out the product it seemed to be fairly long lasting and did not oxidize into any strange colour on my skin.  This illuminator can be used a number of ways:  As a face highlighter, an all over highlighter, an eyeshadow and a lip product if mixed with gloss.  This holiday season shimmer, gold and glitter are in!  Not just for clothing but also in the makeup world.  That makes this product a perfect choice for me. At 0.2 oz for $42 on it seems a little pricey, but in my opinion definitely worth it!  Below are some more pics of the product and a swatch (click to enlarge).

Will you pick it up?

Dior Backstage Eyeliners-To-Wear Multi-Wear Adhesive Eyeliner Patches and Backstage Brow Design Brow Shaping Stencils Kit

Hi Everyone!  So I was strolling through my local Sephora, when I spotted these babies!  I was really excited and intrigued to see that Dior came out with eyeliner patches.  They are known for their amazing eyeliner in ads and now they've made it so that the regular woman can have perfect fool proof eyeliner as well.  I was able to test a pair out this past weekend at a wedding...and they looked fabulous!  I got so many compliments on how my eyeliner looked flawless and no one was aware that they were stuck on.  The great thing about these are that they are reusable.  However, in order to increase the longevity of these I would recommend putting them on before you put your eyeshadow on.  That way the adhesive on the back of the eyeliner patch lasts longer and doesn't loose it's "stickiness" as quickly.  And when you do loose it's adhesiveness, they have included a small tube of glue.  I am looking forward to trying the other 3 patches, as I've only been able to use one pair.  But I am pretty confident that I will love them all!  As for the eyebrow stencils, I have not been able to fully test them out.  I am planning on giving them a whirl this weekend.  Once I try them out I will be able to give y'all a better opinion on if they are worth the cost.  You can purchase them at  And below are some detailed specs on the products and more pics.

Dior Backstage Eyeliners-To-Wear Multi-Wear Adhesive Eyeliner Patches $59
- 4 pairs of eyeliner patches
-small glue tube

Dior Backstage Brow Design Brow Shaping Stencils Kit $40
-6 brow stencils
-2 mini eyeliner pencils (light and dark brown)

What do you think about these new products from Dior...are they a hit or miss?

VS Makeup: Hypnotic Beauty Collection

Hey Everyone!  I am back with the Fall 2011 collection from Victoria Secret, it's called the Hypnotic Beauty Collection.  This is a reasonably sized collection that contains a couple lipsticks, blush/highlighter, a few eyeshadow palettes, and kohl/kajal eyeliner.  So what items did I decide to pick up...

*Lipstick: in Exotica- $14
*Blush/Highlighter: Desert Star- $16
*Kohl/Kajal Eyeliner- $15

The packaging is beautiful!  I love the exotic, foreign design and feel to the packaging.  The products are encased in gold and a mix of vibrant colours.  The only thing that I found to be annoying about the packaging was with the lipstick, I did not like that the lipstick does not go all the way down.  Even when your done turning the lipstick tube, the product is still peaking out (as you will notice in the picture below).  When I'm in a rush this can become a problem by getting a little messy and possibly all over my things.  As for the products themselves, I truly love the lipstick shade in Exotica!  It is simply a beautiful rich bronze/coral/red colour.  The formulation isn't to die for, but what it lacks in formulation is definitely made up for in the colour.  I wouldn't say that there is extended wear with this product, and reapplication would be necessary every few hours. The blush/highlighter powder looks like a mosaic, and is almost too pretty to use!  Which works out fairly well for me, because I don't find that the colour of the highlighter is anything special.  And I feel it can be easily duplicated by many products on the market!  So I have decided to just keep this product as an addition to my stash, since it just makes me happy when I look at it.  As for the eye kajal, it is perfect for lining the waterline and the colour is a deep and intense black that is perfect for that smokey sultry look.  And as always, you can click on the picture to enlarge it and get a better look.  And you can also find these products on

My recommendations are for you to go to your local Victoria Secret and test out these products for yourself!

Do you only buy lingerie from Victoria Secret or do you pick up beauty products there as well?

MAC Holiday Collection 2011

MAC Ice Parade Collection 2011

I am such a sucker for eyeshadow and travel brush sets.  I know that the quality of the brushes is just not the same as the full size ones, but I love taking these with me in my  makeup bag or when I travel. Especially these since they have that adorable clear handle!  Where do they expect us to get the money to buy all of their collections??!!

MAC Glitter Ice Collection

The packaging is very intriguing.  Looks like I will be spending a lot of money on myself this Christmas.  Why MAC, why??

MAC Dazzlespheres Collection

These would make amazing stocking stuffers!!   For MYSELF of course :)

Hey Everyone!  The MAC Cindy Sherman Collection is now online at  To be quite honest, the promo pics kind of freak me out a bit!  They are creepy!  They have divided the collection into 3 parts:  Midnight Blue, Angel Flame and Wild Colour.  This is a pretty large collection, considering all the new products MAC has been putting out there lately!  I was able to get my hands on this collection a week ago, as they had a V.I.P. launch party in my city.  The main reason I hustled out there was to get the MSF Lightscapade which was anticipated to sell out in record time.  It did not disappoint, as it sold out online almost immediately!  I may go back for a few of the lip pencils, but probably not much more.
